LifeSeal® offers a fast-curing, low odor, high adhesion, non-sagging, non-corrosive, non-yellowing formula. It provides a durable permanent watertight seal for joints subject to structural movement. May be used above and below the waterline.
Use for sealing:
- Decks to hulls
- Thru-hull fittings
- Vinyl ports
- Sealing/glazing windshields
- Bedding marine hardware
Will adhere to metal, glass, wood, Lexan®, ABS® and certain other materials. Can be removed without damaging gel-coat. Not recommended for ferro cement hulls, impregnated wood or oil-soaked materials. Cures in presence of water. Mildew resistant and acid free.

Not compatible with traditional alkyd-enamel based paint
I bought life calk to use as bedding for a keel on a canoe. It says sandable and paintable. Well, I am having trouble. The sanding wasn't all that good and the painting isn't working either. The paint over the calk stayed sticky and never cured. I've wiped it with thinner and am waiting to see what happens when I give it more time to cure. The caulk itself may not have cured in the area and caused the oil based marine enamel to not cure either? Not sure. I've used it before and varnished over it without trouble, so we'll see. Use your own judgement. But be aware there may be a problem

Center console caulk/sealer
Recently used to caulk around my center console that the factory caulk only lasted 5 years before cracking and coming up. Hopefully this will last much longer. Applied as labeled. Highly recommend using masking tape. Product does skim over quickly so you must work fast or have a helper going behind you to smooth over and clean up any mistakes.
