Description

Multipurpose primer for use on surfaces that are cracked, aged, or checked.

PETTIT PAINT EZ Prime Undercoater, White is a versatile, one-part primer designed to smooth and fill aged, cracked, checked, or pitted surfaces, creating an ideal base for a flawless topcoat. Formulated for use on fiberglass, wood, and previously painted surfaces, it dries quickly and sands easily, helping reduce the number of coats needed for full coverage. Its high-filling, fast-covering formula provides excellent hiding power, delivering a uniform surface that enhances the performance and appearance of Pettit, Z-Spar, or Shipendec enamels. When working with bare wood, first seal it with 2018 Clear Sealer (Model 250134) to ensure water resistance and protection against dry rot before applying EZ Prime. Not intended for use below the waterline, this oil-modified alkyd primer offers dependable adhesion, smooth results, and an easy application by brush, roller, or spray, making it a reliable choice for professional-quality finishes.
