Description
The Distributor Cap from Volvo Penta is used in spark ignition systems to cover the distributor and the rotor. It is an enclosed rotating switch used in spark-ignition internal combustion engines. This distributor cap passes the voltage from the ignition coils to the engine's cylinders. Together with the rotor, they're both needed to ignite the fuel-air mixture inside and power the engines. It also helps distribute electrical current from an ignition coil to a set of spark plugs. The engine stall, trouble in starting, shaking, and squealing noises are the sign of a faulty distributor.
