Ancor 16 AWG Primary Wire is a highly flexible, premium marine-grade electrical wire designed to withstand harsh saltwater, oily, and vibrating environments. Unlike standard automotive copper wire, which quickly corrodes when exposed to moisture, Ancor's primary wire is specifically engineered to exceed industry safety standards, including UL 1426, ABYC, and US Coast Guard regulations for charter boats.

- Conductor Material: Manufactured with individual ultra-flexible Type 3 tinned copper strands. The tin electroplating delivers maximum protection against corrosion and electrolysis while preventing fatigue from constant hull vibration.
- Insulation: Encased in a proprietary premium vinyl (PVC) jacket that stays flexible down to -40°F/C and resists battery acid, gasoline, salt water, abrasion, and UV radiation.
- Ratings: Fully rated for 600 Volts. Temperature handling is rated at 221°F (105°C) dry and 167°F (75°C) wet.
- Ampacity: 16 AWG copper wire typically handles up to 18 Amps depending on the installation environment and temperature constraints.
