Davis Shockles LineSnubber - Blue is a premium, heavy-duty marine shock absorber designed to eliminate violent shock loads on your boat's dock lines, anchor chains, tow lines, and rigging. By dampening the tension caused by tidal surges, wake chop, and heavy winds, it preserves the integrity of your hardware and provides a much more stable and quiet experience while moored.

Key Specifications & Performance

• Size & Stretch: Measures 20 inches (51 cm) long when relaxed and can expand up to a maximum stretched length of 36 inches (91 cm).
• Progressive Tension System: Features a unique design where resistance increases the further it stretches, returning smoothly to minimize the "snapping" effect.
• Internal Stretch Limiter: Contains a patented internal safety core made of 2,500 lb. test nylon webbing that prevents the elastomer from over-stretching or snapping under extreme loads.
• Heavy-Duty Materials: The external shield is built from 3,500 lb. test tubular nylon webbing that is highly UV-resistant to protect the inner components from sun degradation.
• Rope Compatibility: One size universally accommodates all braided or twisted lines from 3/8" to 3/4" (10mm to 19mm). It can accommodate lines over 1" if paired with optional Davis LineGrabber attachments.
• Hardware: Equipped with two 316 marine-grade stainless steel carabiners for quick, corrosion-resistant, and secure line attachment.

Installation Method

The LineSnubber is incredibly simple to deploy compared to traditional rubber snubbers that force you to thread the entire rope through them.

1. Rig it in-line with your existing mooring setup using a simple clove hitch knot.
2. Ensure you leave roughly 6 to 12 inches of slack on your primary dock line between the attachment points. This allows the Shockle to take the initial load before your main line pulls taut.
