Description
The SI-TEX B-60-12 Tilted Element Transducer is a low-profile, bronze thru-hull transducer specifically designed for use with the SI-TEX CVS-126 and CVS-128 echo sounders. It features a fixed 12-degree tilt that compensates for hull deadrise, allowing the sonar beam to point straight down without the need for a bulky fairing block.
Key Specifications
· Compatibility: Optimized for SI-TEX CVS-126 and CVS-128 digital echo sounders.
· Hull Deadrise: Designed for hulls with a deadrise angle between 8° and 15°.
· Power & Frequency: 600 Watts with dual frequencies of 50 kHz (45° beamwidth) and 200 kHz (12° beamwidth).
· Sensors: Includes built-in depth and fast-response water temperature sensors.
· Physical Design: Low-profile bronze housing that extends only 5 mm (3/16") outside the hull, making it ideal for trailered boats.
Installation Highlights
· Mounting: Requires a 60 mm (2-3/8") hole for installation.
· Orientation: An arrow on the cap must point toward the keel during installation to ensure proper alignment of the tilted element.
· Hull Material: Suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls; not recommended for metal hulls due to potential galvanic corrosion with the bronze housing.
