The Standard Horizon Mic Extension Kit is a specialized marine hardware kit used to relocate your VHF radio's microphone connection. It extends the reach of your existing microphone, allowing you to move the connection point from the rear panel of the radio transceiver to a more accessible remote location on your dash or console.

Brief Installation Steps
- Prep the Connector: Remove the rubber dust/water gasket from the radio's rear 6-pin connector and shift it to the front microphone connector if needed.
- Drill the Dash: Use the included template to drill a 1-inch (24 mm) main hole and three small 0.08-inch (2 mm) pilot holes into your panel bulkhead.
- Secure the Mount: Affix the rubber cap and stainless holder plate to your bulkhead using the provided screws.
- Route and Connect: Pass the cable through, lock the bulkhead side using the retaining nut, and plug the 20-foot run directly into the "Remote Mic" connector located on the back of your VHF transceiver.
