Inflation Adapter
Polyform Inflation Adapter #10 allows you to connect standard bicycle or automotive tire pumps, as well as air compressor nozzles, directly to the unique inflation valves found on Polyform US boat fenders and buoys. Made from rugged marine-grade plastic, it screws tightly into the valve assembly to guarantee a secure, leak-free connection during inflation.
How to Use the Adapter
- Remove the Valve Screw: Use a flathead screwdriver or a small key to counterclockwise unscrew the plastic valve bung from the fender.
- Clear the Valve Flap: Polyform valves feature an internal flap. If it remains stuck, gently push a blunt object (like a small screwdriver) into the chamber to break the seal.
- Connect the Hardware: Screw the thin, threaded end of the adapter into the fender's valve opening until it seats securely.
- Inflate to Spec: Connect your tire pump or compressor chuck to the exposed end. Keep pressure under 2.1 psi. The walls should expand fully, but you must still be able to compress the side at least 1/4-inch using light hand pressure.
- Reseal: Back the adapter out and screw the plastic valve bung firmly back in place to prevent air slow leaks.
